On Sacred Heart Sunday all boys of the region go into the surroundig mountains to ignite mountain fires in form of crosses, hearts and other relgious motives.
This custom goes back to an old tradition, which has origins in the time of the Tyrolean struggle for liberation 1809.
- Visiting of the local museum in Längenfeld, you can learn how to convert flax as in grandmother's time.
- Weave on historical looms in the hand-weaving mill Doblander.
- We bake stonebaked bread in Fars, the smallest mountain village of the Ötztal.
- Visiting of the Ötzidorf incl. entry and guidance
